Expanding window and door manufacturer finesse windows of Birmingham, appointed Pearson knight to design and install an extension Mezzanine floor. The new mezzanine extension would provide additional storage and display areas over the ground floor production facility.
A section of the Glass Balustrade was removed from the existing mezzanine (office walkway) and a new transfer staircase was installed to provide access to the newly created display and storage area. No additional staircase was required, maximising on the limited ground floor production space. Plastic extrusions (used in the manufacturing process) are fed in packs onto the mezzanine and then stored on the cantilever racking.
Slave gravity rollers guide the packs through openings in the mezzanine handrail. The Mezzanine floor measuring 10 metres x 8 metres x 3 metres high was installed in less than two days and with the minimum of disruption to our client.
